Jack Neumark is a managing director and legal analyst for Fortress Investment Group LLC. At Fortress, his responsibilities include providing legal analysis in connection with new and existing investments, including bankruptcy, distressed situations and litigation-related investments.

Prior to his position at Fortress Investment Group LLC, Neumark was a senior vice president at Plainfield Asset Management, a large distressed debt hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT. Neumark also practiced law at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, in the restructuring and finance group and at Simpson Thatcher & Barlett LLP, in the corporate group.

Mr. Neumark received his B.A in European History from Vanderbilt University with Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude honors and his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he also currently teaches a course on Advanced Legal Issues in Distressed Debt Investing.
